The Corporation of the Town of Georgina (Town) is inviting qualified, bondable, General Contractors (“Respondents”) to submit their credentials in order to pre-qualify for tendering on the construction of the new Pefferlaw Fire Station #1-8 (Work), located at 270 Pefferlaw Road, Pefferlaw, Ontario L0E 1N0 (Site). 

The project will require the demolition of the existing fire station and refurbishing the interior of an existing church structure, the use of which has been incorporated into the design and function of the new fire station.

This will be the only pre-qualification advertisement for general contractors for the required construction services. Prior experience in the construction of fire stations is preferred.

The project consists of:

·  Construction of a new one-storey fire station, approximately 7,500 square feet;

·  Renovation of an existing two-storey one hundred year old church structure on the Site, approximately 1,500 square feet each floor;

·  Site services including but not limited to water storage cistern, well, septic system, communications tower, grading and paving; and

·  Site lighting, electric vehicle charging station, fencing, landscaping and security.
