The Corporation of the Town of Georgina (Town) is seeking submissions from qualified vendors (respondent) for grass cutting, turf maintenance and landscaping services (work) on Town property throughout various locations (sites) within the Town. The Town expects that all respondents will furnish satisfactory evidence in their submission that they have the ability, experience, capital and resources to enable them to complete the project as outlined herein. The successful respondent (contractor) shall supply all necessary labour (own forces), vehicles, materials, resources, equipment, machinery, tools, apparatus, technical assistance and other means of implementation necessary for grass cutting, trimming, turf maintenance and minor maintenance at the sites as described herein and will be compensated in accordance with the actual measured quantities at the price set forth herein and shall exclude HST. Time is of the essence for the commencement of this project. The contractor shall commence work immediately upon award of contract. The contractor shall cut and trim all the grass at Town sites including parkland and open spaces, slopes, ditches, sodded boulevards and play areas, etc. It will be the contractor’s responsibility to cut and trim all grassed areas to the road edge regardless of sidewalks and or fences. The contractor shall collect and dispose of all garbage, litter, branches, debris etc., at the sites prior to cutting and trimming. The Town may give change directives during the term of contract by increasing, reducing or altering the nature and scope of work. The contractor shall accept such changes and price adjustments shall be made accordingly based on the contractor’s submitted prices. The contractor shall provide the price adjustments to the Town prior to executing any change directives and shall receive prior written approval from the Town. No contractor is relieved from supplying all components necessary to conduct the work fit for the use specified in this bid call document merely because detailed specifications on the various components of the work are not set out in the bid call document. |
