The Corporation of the Town of Georgina (Town) is seeking bid submissions from qualified engineering consultants (respondents) to provide detailed engineering design services, design/construction tendering services and contract administration services relevant to the following two (2) HVAC replacement projects as part of the Town’s Building Condition Assessment (BCA) Program:
Replacement of the following HVAC equipment: York packaged RTU, Model #D1NA030N05606C Manufactured in 2003; Rated input of 70,000 BTUH; Utilizes natural gas, and no indicated efficiency; Cooling section utilizes R-22 (a banned refrigerant); and Capacity of approximately 2.5 tons.
York packaged RTU, Model #D7CG048N09906A Manufactured in 2003 and appears to be in fairly good condition for its age; Rated input of 125,000 BTUH; Utilizing natural gas, and no indicated efficiency; Cooling section utilizes R-22 (a banned refrigerant); and Capacity of approximately 4 tons.
Lennox packaged RTU – Model # unavailable The tag on this unit is missing, therefore the only information available is based on previous reports and is not guaranteed to be accurate. Manufactured in approximately 1998; Unit is estimated to supply 15 tons of cooling capacity; Cooling section utilizes R-22 (a banned refrigerant); and The natural gas heating section has an unknown capacity.
Project #2 – Pefferlaw Lion’s Community Centre Replacement of the following HVAC equipment: Two (2) Lennox air handling units (Model #AM30Q314-70-1) including two (2) outdoor condensing units; (Due to the installed height of the units, limited information is able to be seen and is not guaranteed to be accurate.) Both units were manufactured in 1996 and are in poor condition; Units are located on and service the second floor of the building; Units provide space heating via a hydronic coil, fed from the building boiler and cooling from dedicated exterior condensers; 70,000 BTUH of heating each; Condensers used to provide cooling to the second floor furnace; Units utilize R-22 to provide cooling; Each unit is rated for three (3) tons of cooling; One (1) Venmar Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) (Model #HRV 450W) Operates off of 115V and pull of approximately 12A; and Appears to be in poor condition.
The replacement units at both locations must be equivalent to the existing equipment in terms of equipment capacity and output, however, consideration must be given to improving heating and cooling efficiency within the boundaries of the approved construction budget. |
