As part of on-going maintenance programs the Town of Georgina requires the services of qualified and experience roofers to remove and replace the asphalt shingles at two (2) locations: De La Salle Chapel, 1940 Metro Road North, Jackson’s Point, ON and Pefferlaw Library, 76 Pete’s Lane, Pefferlaw, ON.

The extent of the roofing repair will be outlined as follows:

1.  Remove existing roofing materials, flashings, cap flashings, and associated materials to the existing wood deck on entire roof space, including any awnings.

2.  Remove materials from site and dispose in accordance with all applicable Ontario Regulations.

3.  Clean all areas to receive new roofing.

4.  Make repairs as required to any damaged areas of roof sheathing prior to installing new materials.

5.  Supply and install ice and water membrane to the first 3 feet from eaves then synthetic underlayment material on the remaining roof area (see Specifications page 24 to reference materials)

6.  Supply and install new asphalt roofing as per the specifications (see Specifications page 23 to reference materials).

7.  Re-install existing roof vents.

8.  Supply and install horizontal cable system across peak of roof for deterrent of birds for De La Salle Chapel only.

9.  Upon completion of specified works, remove all construction debris and

  return to existing conditions.
